Private beta · August 12 to 27

You're invited to try Feal

A quiet place to honor your emotions.

How to join

A calm place to notice what you're feeling

Drag the compass toward what you're feeling, sit with what it might be telling you, and let it go. One fluid motion, nothing else. No streaks, no charts, no scores. Emotions treated as messengers, not data.

Two kinds of people

Those looking to build their emotional awareness, and those who already value it but drift from the practice. If either sounds like you, your read would be especially valuable, but anyone's perspective on how it comes across is welcome.

Open it when you actually feel something

It's still rough in places. That's the point of the test. Check-ins are thirty to sixty seconds: notice what's here, name it, let it go. No schedule, no homework, nothing to keep up.

The ask is the same on either phone, and it runs the full window: keep Feal installed from August 12th through the 27th, and open it every couple of days when something's moving. The app stores require a steady closed test before a new app can launch, so staying in is itself the help.

Either phone works

  • iPhone: iOS 26 or later, plus the TestFlight app. Feal is built on the newest iOS and won't install on anything earlier. To check, open Settings → General → Software Update and install iOS 26 if it's waiting there. TestFlight is Apple's own app for trying pre-release software, free on the App Store; the beta installs and updates through it.
  • Android: Android 12 or later, plus the Gmail your Play Store uses. The beta installs through Google Play once you've joined the test, and updates arrive on their own. To check your version, open Settings → About phone → Android version.

Three steps

  1. Send me your email address, and tell me iPhone or Android. The button below opens a message, or just message me if that's easier. On Android, make it the Gmail your Play Store uses. It's also how I know which feedback is yours.
  2. On iPhone: install TestFlight from the App Store while you wait. When the beta starts on August 12th, open the invite email on your iPhone and tap View in TestFlight, then Accept and Install. Feal lands on your home screen like any other app.
  3. On Android: when the beta starts, you'll get an email with a join link. Open it on your phone, tap Join, then follow the Google Play link to install. Updates arrive on their own.

No ads. Your entries stay on your device, and the only thing measured is anonymous.

How Feal handles privacy

Testers, in one place

There's a small WhatsApp group where everyone testing Feal can talk: ask me anything, share what you notice, hear when updates land. It's optional, and the invite comes with your welcome email. Quiet by design, like the app.

If something stands out, send it

Good or bad, send it in the moment. On iPhone, take a screenshot while you're in the app, tap the preview that appears, and choose Share Beta Feedback. You can scribble on it and add a line about what felt off, or what landed. On Android, open Settings → Report a problem and it sends me the details, with room for a note. That, plus the short reflection, is everything.

One five-minute reflection

When the window wraps up on August 27th, this short form is the most useful thing you can give me. It takes five minutes, no more.
